Summer 2012 Programming
Cool New option for Groton youth to consider participating in.
Homesteading & The Lost Arts (Held on two different weeks within the summer) - July 30-August 2 & August 20 - 23. (M-Th) 9am - 4pm; $200-$275 (sliding scale). Ages 10-16.
Spend a few days learning some traditional lost homesteading arts like barn style building, gardening, open fire cooking, weaving, drum making, chicken lore and more! Middle School with Kat Clement (Download Brochure and Registration form.)
Helping Hands: Join this long running program that was started by middle school students with a vision to make a difference in their community. From gardening in the school garden to helping animals in need lend a hand and use your talents to create change. Please be aware we may be going outside so dress appropriately. Tuesdays, May 1st- June 5th Meets @ Groton Middle School in Room 106.
Wild Wednesdays: Here is your chance to choose what you want to do after school! From cooking over a fire to learning new cultures this program will offer a variety of fun activities every day. Please be aware we may be going outside so dress appropriately. Wednesdays, May 2nd- June 6th Meets @ Groton Middle School in Room 106.
Tech Pro: Leave behind paper and pencil and jump into the world of digital technology that can make anything possible. Have fun with digital photography, illustrations and more to explore the world around you and create new ones. This program is available to everyone and no prior knowledge is needed. Thursdays May 3rd- June 7th Meets @ Groton Middle School in Room 106.
The above programs begin at 2:50 pm and end at 5:00 pm, unless otherwise noted. Youth must be picked up by a parent or guardian at the program site at the conclusion of each program, unless arranged otherwise.
