Middle School Programming with Nancy:  

"WACKY WEDNESDAYS" - Brochure & Registration Form - Hmmmm..... what could this mean?  How about a program where we do what YOU want to do?  Learn a new skill or craft... go on a field trip...  learn to cook an exotic dish... community service... fun... food... ??????  That's what Wacky Wednesdays is all about! Bring YOUR ideas and join us as the group makes decisions and has some fun!  Wednesdays (of course) 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15 and 2/29.  2:45-5:00 pm, Room 115.  Please return completed form below to the MS Office by  Friday, January 13!  Space is limited, sign up now! High School Programming with Carissa:   Winter & SPRING 2012 Program brochure and registration form.

Big Friend Little Friend - Tuesdays, Jan. 3- May 15 in the middle school from 3-3:30pm, with occasional longer meetings. High school youth are selected to be mentors to middle school "little friends".  Applications are available in Student Services.

High School Helpers -Tuesdays Jan. 3- May 8 during lunch periods. Spend your lunch period in the elementary school, volunteering with in a classroom or the lunchroom, making some new little friends.

Anime Club -Thursdays, Jan. 5- May 10 in Ms. Clark's art room from 2:45-3:30pm, with occasional longer meetings and fieldtrips. Spend time discussing your anime and manga, sharing your own work, and learning about Japanese culture.

Naturalist Club - Wednesdays, Jan. 11- May 2 from 2:45-4pm in Ms. Stein's room, with occasional longer meetings and fieldtrips. Learn how to identify plants, trees, fish, and wildlife. Take fieldtrips to local sites to learn more. Those interested can use their knowledge to compete in the Envirothon on April 26.

Thursday Lunch Group - Thursdays, Jan. 5- June 7. Meet in Student Services conference room during your lunch period (5, 6, or 7) to meet new people, have friendly conversation, play games, and try interesting new foods.

EARTH DAY SERVICE PROJECT - 3-5pm on Thursday, April 19. Help celebrate Earth Day in Trumansburg by cleaning up the Village and getting the gardens ready for the growing season.

Youth Employment - You must be at least 14 years old. Applications are available in Student Services. Get help with job applications, interviewing skills, and being professional. Limited summer jobs will be available for youth with little or no previous job experience. Priority will go to applications received by Friday, May 11.You can also sign up to be contacted by community members for casual jobs like babysitting, raking leaves, snow shoveling, etc.

Although most programs are on-going, new members can still join in!
