Tompkins County Open Farm Day

  • Sunday, August 3, 2025, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

After a several year hiatus, we are thrilled to be bringing back Tompkins County Open Farm Day, a celebration of farms and farmers in our county! This year's Open Farm Day focuses on the east half of the county and features farms in Groton, Ithaca, Caroline, Dryden, and Virgil. Come visit our farms as they open their gates to the public and teach us all about what it takes day-to-day to produce food for our community. Family-friendly and open to all!

Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended when visiting farms.

Registration is optional but appreciated, as we would like to know how many people to expect.

Location: Farms across Tompkins County: Find the official Open Farm Day Map here! Paper maps will be available starting July 29th at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County, as well as Ithaca Agway, Dryden Agway, Tompkins County Public Library, Lilley's Tack & Feed, Brookton's Market, and Groton Public Library.

Participating farms include:

  • Alpine Dairy- Beck Farms: 1312 Van Donsel Rd, Cortland. The 4th generation dairy farm will give tours every ½ hour.
  • Fort Baptist Farm: 915 Coddington Road, Ithaca. A diverse vegetable production with tours every ½ hour.
