Celebrate American Heart Month by cooking heart healthy recipes! Each Thursday in February join SNAP-Ed New York for a virtual nutrition lesson focused on heart health and a demonstration of a nutritious and delicious dinner everyone will enjoy!


Class Dates & Recipes

2/2:  Baked Chicken Tenders and Sweet Potato Fries. 

  • Cooking along is completely optional, but if you want to cook with us, you'll find the SnapEd recipes and ingredients, and equipment needed here: Chicken Tenders (serves 4)  and Sweet Potato Fries (serves 6).

2/9: Salmon Cakes with Mango Cucumber Salsa

  • Recipe & Ingredients here!
  • Tuna can be used instead of salmon. 
  • Use canned or frozen mangoes or peaches. 
  • Spice up the cakes with chili powder and or garlic. 
  • Serve this dish with brown rice or lettuce for a complete meal..
