Ever wonder which plants and fungi you spy in the woods are edible? Join CCE Tompkins on an Edible Plants and Fungi Walk Sunday, September 10th , 10-11am. We will go for a short walk (less than 2 miles) through the forest and identify edible flora and funga and discuss about how to best prepare them.
Tara Morgan is a NYS certified schoolteacher with more than a decade of experience in outdoor education and community naturalism. She is eager to share her knowledge and interest in foraging local edible and plants, and fungi, with the community
Pre-registration is required, in case of heavy rain this program will be held on September 24th, notice will be given to registrants. Please dress for the weather and terrain. This program is for people 18 and older, participants will sign a waiver day of the walk.
Registration limited to 15 participants. Ithaca location provided when you register.
