Foraging Walk

  • Saturday, August 16, 2025, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join us on a foraging walk to see what along our trails is edible! The walk will be moderately flat over uneven terrain and we will cover around 2 miles, please wear proper footwear and bring water. If there is heavy rain or thunderstorms the program will be canceled and registrants will be notified. We will send the exact Ithaca location to all who register the day before the walk. The Tuesday before the walk is a Foraging Lecture if you would like to learn some plant and mushroom ID and foraging tips. The lecture is not required and has a separate registration. You can find the details here.

Instructor's bio: Connor Youngerman is the Cornell Small Farm's Agroforestry and Mushroom Specialist and worked on numerous projects including fruit production, beekeeping, and foraging. Marissa Nolan is the Horticulture Team Lead at CCE Tompkins and previously worked in forest restoration and as a naturalist.
