Foraging Lecture

  • Tuesday, August 12, 2025, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Discover the basics of foraging for mushrooms and plants. We will go over a few easily identifiable species and general foraging tips. This program is hybrid, you may join online or at our office. The following Saturday we are leading a foraging walk for some hands-on experience.

The walk is a separate program, find the details here.

The program will be recorded and the video and slides sent to everyone who registers.

Instructor's bio: Connor Youngerman is the Cornell Small Farm's Agroforestry and Mushroom Specialist and worked on numerous projects including fruit production, beekeeping, and foraging. Marissa Nolan is the Horticulture Team Lead at CCE Tompkins and previously worked in forest restoration and as a naturalist.
