Beginning farmers eager to
cultivate their land, join us for a workshop on November 2nd! This event
provides aspiring farmers with the knowledge and resources to turn their
farming dreams into reality. Participants will learn about land access, lease
negotiation, funding, and cost-share programs. The workshop also covers the
legal aspects of farmland ownership, including insurance considerations.
Experienced farmers and influential speakers, including an attorney from the
PACE Law Clinic, will share their knowledge and insights, creating a supportive
learning environment. This event is in partnership with Groundswell Center for
Local Food and Farming and is generously funded by the American Farmland Trust.
Join us for lively conversations, delicious food, and opportunities to connect.
NOVEMBER 2nd 10 am to 3 pm.
There is a small amount of grant funds to cover travel costs (stipend), for people needing assistance to be able to attend. There is a application to apply for this on the registration form.
A copy of the agenda and speaker list for this event can be found here.
