Ag Summit: Ag Friendly Solar 2025

Municipal Planning Board Members, Town and Village Board Members, Town Ag Committee Members, Farmers, and Landowners are invited to attend the 2025 Tompkins County Agriculture Summit. This year’s ag summit will focus on how towns can plan for and support the implementation of ag-friendly solar in your community. We will explore ways that farmland can be co-utilized for farming and solar (agrivoltaics), learn about new model solar regulations, and discuss opportunities for county-wide efforts to mitigate the impact of solar on agriculture. Delicious local food will be provided for lunch. The event is free but registration is required.

The Tompkins County Annual Ag Summit is organized by Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County and the Tompkins County Agriculture and Farmland Protection Board.
