Families are invited to come together for free dinner and family fun. With food, crafts, movement, activities for all ages, and an opportunity for connection, together we can make our families and community stronger.
Each family will receive a FREE gift!
The focus of this event will be "Social Connection", one of Five Protective Factors that strengthens families and prevents child abuse.
Who are the people in your circle of support? What groups or organizations are part of your family's life? Who are reliable sources you can go to for support?
"Having strong social connections is associated with more responsive parenting, increased well-being and lower levels of anger, anxiety, and depression." (Center for the Study of Social Policy, n.d)
Also, strong social connections amongst families and individuals makes our communities more resilient when facing any sorts of crisis, including those related with climate change.
