Syntropic Agroforestry Introduction Webinar Part 2

  • Thursday, December 3, 2026, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

In part two of this series, we will focus on how to incorporate ecological succession and stratification into design and management. We will go through several examples of a “conventional” layout for production of a given crop, and an alternative design which would enhance the planting and turn it into a living system. Putting such a system into practice involves much more than just a planting plan, so we will work through management strategies beginning with planting and culminating in a mature system.

Erik Schellenberg is the natural resource educator and commercial horticulture educator with CCE Orange County. He is also a student of Ernst Götsch, the creator of syntropic agroforestry and works to bring this way of approaching agriculture to North America.
