Electrify Ithaca! Launch

Join the City of Ithaca and project partners in launching the country’s first community-wide building electrification program.

In 2021, the City of Ithaca created a first-of-its-kind collaboration with electrification partners BlocPower and Alturus to bring full decarbonization to our community. This partnership brings clean, comfortable, fully electric buildings within reach for all residents and allows us to slash greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming and threaten life on Earth.

Celebrate the launch of this monumental program at Southside Community Center with a press conference at 10:00am studded with performances from Southside campers, followed at 11:00am by a lunch and tours of the Center.
