Tompkins Families invites you to to our monthly meeting of Coalition for Families! This space, happening on the last Wednesday of the month, brings together community members, parents and professionals to explore topics relevant to the wellbeing of families. 

ADHD in Children: An Integrative & Functional Approach

Families, community members, & professionals are invited to join us as we:

  • Define ADHD in children and recognize common symptoms in academic and home settings.
  • Address the crucial question: “Should I consider medication for my child?” and gain insight into the medication selection process.
  • Identify functional root causes that may contribute to ADHD symptoms.
  • Discover community and online resources available for support.
  • Learn strategies to empower children with ADHD, promote positive self-esteem, and enhance family interactions.

Date: Wednesday August 28th, 2024

Time: Noon-1:00pm

Location: Cornell Cooperative Extension, 615 Willow Ave, Ithaca or via Zoom

Presenter: Jennifer Schiavi, CIMHP, ADHD-CCSP, FNP-BC at Ithaca ADHD
