BambooHR Time Off Tracking

BambooHR Time Off Tracking

Bamboo is an HR information system that helps us manage tasks more quickly and effectively. It automates many HR tasks and shares real time information with you and everyone who needs it, when you need it, to make your work life easier. We also use Bamboo for time off tracking, onboarding, effort certification, and other tasks.

As of 1/1/2022, Bamboo time-off tracking is being used for all leave-eligible employees.

  • Non-exempt (hourly) employees will continue to use Workday to request time off. However, they'll now be able to see their time off balances in Bamboo.
  • Exempt (salaried) employees will use Bamboo for all time off requests and tracking.

How To Access Bamboo:

  • When hired, you'll get an email from BambooHR with instructions on setting up an account.
  • If you need help accessing your BambooHR account, contact Tompkins-HR@cornell.edu
  • Once you're signed up, access Bamboo at https://ccetompkins.bamboohr.com/

How to Use Bamboo for Time Off Tracking

Non-exempt (hourly) and exempt (salaried) employees use Bamboo differently for time off tracking. Please use the following training materials to learn how to enter and track your time off. If you are a supervisor, please be aware that your employees may be using Bamboo differently than you, and refer to the materials below for details.
