The native plant garden was first planted in 2013. Its goal is to showcase a variety of native perennials and shrubs that can work in most home landscapes. The garden is designed to be attractive through all four seasons with plants that are easy to care for. The plants are also chosen to provide some benefit to pollinators and /or birds. Most of the plants are native to New York State, but a few are native to adjacent states.
