The owners say, "An Earthship made a lot of sense to us. 'Intelligently designed,' it is the epitome of green building. Originating in New Mexico 40 years ago by Michael Reynolds, these buildings are now being built around the world in various climates. Michael and his crew [Earthship Biotecture] spent 3 weeks here in August 2012 giving us a great start." The homeowners recently had some members of Earthship Biotecture back out to help with plastering the rest of the interior, and are now offering a room as a bed and breakfast for any visitors to the area interested in spending a few nights in an Earthship!
