This 3000 square-feet house in Brooktondale was built using Passive House techniques making it super tight and energy efficient. Also on the property is a reclaimed barn from the 1850's (moved from another site) and another house currently under construction being built with Passive House principles.

Building Features: Its timberframe was cut by New Energy Works (nr. Rochester). It features high efficiency, European triple-paned windows, SIPs walls (6.5" = R40) and roof (8.5" = R50), ICF foundation, and an energy recovery ventilation system. The house was built using Passive House techniques for air-tight construction. Other features include decking made from recycled nylon carpeting, radiant floor heating, and one floor living for a retired couple.
